Then to add to my confusion in regards to the season we were in Hallmark today and wouldn't you know it...they had their Christmas ornaments out.
Yes, you read that correctly. Christmas ornaments.
In July.
SIGH.
Anyway, beyond the crazy weather life has been good. Last week Esella had her Rheumy appt. We wew honestly expecting to get the news that we would be moving to injections however her doctors did see a little improvement in the swelling in her fingers. SInce it can take up to 12 weeks for the full effects of the medication and it had only been 8 weeks, they recommending continuing giving her the Methotrexate orally until our next appt on August 25th. Then we will see how her finger swelling is and go from there.
The docs also wanted to do x-rays on her hands to check for bone issues and also to have baseline images. We told her we were going to take pictures of her hands...she was ok with it until we walked in the room! She freaked out a little, I think mostly because the room was dark. However the x ray tech and his assistant were really awesome and E calmed down and did a GREAT job. I never got a call from her docs so I assume her hands looked good. They said if she had bone issues (I believe she said break downs?) we would have to move to a different medication...but they didn't expect it given the time frame of her illness.
Esella has been going to school now for two weeks and she seems to like it. She had a hard time today saying goodbye...because daddy was there for the first time. She was crying as we left and she ended up getting a good snuggle from Miss Urma. We were told she had a great day once she calmed down tho! She brought home her first art project...painted paper pigs! And today brought home more...I am LOVING it and plan on looking for some creative ways to display her work in the house!
For those who are wondering...baby Kyle is doing great! He is growing and growing and still has that head of hair! Here he is Tuesday...
Everett is eating solids now daily...he has now had avocado, peas, bananas and sweet potatoes. He does really well eating but really wants to hold the spoon and throws quite a fit when you take it from him! So now he gets his own spoon to hold...
| Look at that smirk... |
And Ainsley is happy to have another tiny eater in the house...
| and as you can see...Ev is already an expert in feeding his doggy |
And when we took Everett for his 6 month well check last week...I told the doc he wasn't rolling...it isn't a big deal because he has been sitting up since 4 1/2 months and everything else is cool...apparently rolling is not a true physical milestone. Well I guess Everett didn't like that I told her that because he went ahead and decided to master rolling in like a day.
But unfortunately....
It's hard when you get stuck under the table!!
Esella went to rescue him...or something like that ;)
Well that is about it...busy weekend ahead full of weddings and birthday parties!
And sending out all my love, thoughts and prayers to Chelsea today...my dear friend who had a baby boy, Travis, at just 23 weeks 2 days gestation, is now pregnant again and in the hospital...her body is contracting and dilating and she is only ay 26 weeks today. We need that baby to BAKE!!! Love you Chelsea!! Here are a couple of my favorite pics of Travis and E from September of last year...
Until next time....
