Last summer, we would all post about our doctors appts, ultrasounds, and different symptoms. We had all gotten past the "critical period" in that first trimester where miscarriage is more common and were in our second trimesters.
Then one day one of the girls posted that her water had broken...but she was only in her 19th week!! We all prayed/thought good thoughts for her but I think most of us expected bad news. This girl, we will call her C, was living any pregnant woman's nightmare. But faithfully she denied termination and went home on bedrest. She was hoping to make it to 24 weeks where they say a baby is "viable". In her 23rd week she delivered a handsome, tiny baby boy who was just over a pound. She and her husband named him after a hero in their lives.
Her story is not mine to tell, but fast forward- what was it 142 days in the NICU? And that handsome miracle went home with his parents just before Christmas. The best gift!!
And this whole time, this miracle, we will call him T, was just 30 miles away! So once we cleared cold/flu/RSV season...Ellie got to meet him!!
Baby T and his mommy are AMAZING! We had a blast hanging out with them the other day and hope to make this a regular playdate! C and I took HUNDREDS of pictures of them together. It was so cool to see them together!! So here they are!
Ellie and baby T at lunch...they were such good babies!!

OOps...then the smakdown! This is where I had to put the camera down and peel Ellie's hand off his ear!!
And he gets his revenge....
Um....have you ever seen anything sweeter??

It was seriously such an amazing experience to meet this miracle in real life! C showed me his first little diapers which were too big! And his first blood pressure cuff...it would maybe fit on my finger? This kid is such a trooper. AMAZING!!Thanks for looking! :)
