House Update...

So last time I wrote I said we were putting the house up on the market. Well... we put our house on the market on a Wednesday and we accepted one of 9 offers 6 days later! The next day we put in an offer on a home in Dublin and it was accepted! So we are now in escrow on both homes. Escrow on Milpitas should close around May 26th and in Dublin about June 4th.

Our new home in Dublin is 1940 sq feet, 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath. We had hoped for a 4 bedroom home- but we fell in love with the location and lot of this home. It is located close to a big grassy park with play structures Esella will love to play on when she is bigger. The houses lot backs up to a huge hilly park great for hiking. Its only about a mile or so from the freeway yet you feel like you are in the rolling hills and hear nothing but birds chirping. Here are some pictures.

The Front:
The kitchen which was recently updated
The living room (not our furniture! ha ha ha)

Family roomThe sun room off the kitchen

The patio
The hilly part of the lot...the lot goes almost all the way up the hill. We will eventually fence it all in so Ainsley can run up and down it!
The back deck. We actually plan to remove it and put in grass for Ainsley and Ellie to play inNow...everyone keep your fingers crossed that escrows close on both homes with no major hick-ups!!! :)

And We're Selling!

The house that is! We have been spending the last couple weeks packing up all the clutter and moving it into storage to get the house sell-ready. We had some guys come over and touch up the paint and cut out the "Will you marry me" out of the wall (we have to take it with us!). They did a great job and the house looks new again! (Not to mention way bigger with half our crap moved out! Ha!). We are taking advantage of the market and upgrading to a bigger home. We are looking in the East bay which will be near Justin's sister Melissa and her husband and our future niece or nephew! (We will not know the little one's sex until he/she makes his/her arrival in June). You can get more house for your money there than where we currently live. Justin will have to commute but we feel its worth it to be close to family and for more room.

The house goes on the market the 15th! And we already have a very interested couple! A couple weeks ago Justin Ellie Ainsley and I were taking a walk and decided to check out a bank-owned home for sale around the corner (our potential competition!) When we walked by we noticed there was a couple checking it out with their Realtor. Justin said "Should I go tell them our place is going up soon?" At first I said no...but then I said...hell yeah! So he went in and talked to them and they asked if they could come by and see it....well it was mess since we were packing but we said sure. They loved it! Our Realtor is in touch with theirs and apparently they do plan to make an offer as soon as its up. Let's hope its a good one! Ha ha ha.

By the way....our house was way better than the bank owned one! He he he...

But....I know most of you lurk here to hear/see Ellie! She is doing great...except not sleeping well anymore :( We think a combination of a cold, growth spurt and possibly teething. We are way more sleep deprived now than when she was a newborn!! (I wish I was kidding...) But other than that she is good! She is laughing more now, grabbing anything she can, and DESPERATELY trying to roll from her back to front. She has the front to back DOWN but really wants to go the other way now.

Here are some recent pics!

Last weekend after a good cry...daddy made her feel better

Hope all is well with all of you!

We have a big girl!!!

Today we had Ellie's 4 month doctor appt. We have a big girl! Esella is 25 1/4 inches long and weighs 15 lbs!! That puts her close to the 88th percentile in height and around the 80th for weight! So she is growing great! The doctor said she looks wonderful. Dr. V said in the next couple months she may be ready to start some solids. Our baby is growing so fast! She also got her shots today and she actually did great! Just a little cry and it was over. Here are some pictures I took this morning before we headed to the doctor. The outfit she is wearing was the first one I bought her! I was 12 weeks pregnant.

4 Months Old Today!!

Well, Ellie is four months old today! Crazy how fast time goes by! We have her 4 month doctor appt on Tuesday and we can't wait to find out how big she has gotten.

She has been having some trouble sleeping lately...we think a combination of a growth spurt and a little cold. Other than that she is doing great. These days her favorite things to do are to stand up (with mommy and daddy helping of course!), "talk" (mostly /b/ /p/ and /m/ sounds), jump in her jumparoo, watch her fur-brother Ainsley, laugh at daddy (apparently daddy is more funny than mommy), sucking on her hand, and trying to roll over from back to front. She has also learned the power of crying! Oh the joys...

Here are a couple pictures from today! Our big 4 month old standing in our backyard with daddy!

Thanks for checking in!

First Birthday, a Jumparoo, and some Vitamin D!

Sorry it's been a little while...my laptop keeps crashing (the new one is on its way!) and so I had not uploaded any pictures.

Well...last weekend Ellie went to her first birthday party! It was the first birthday of our Chico friends, John and Melissa's daughter. John was in our wedding and he and Justin used to be neighbors in college. We are lucky to live just 45 minutes away from them now! :) Here re some pics...

Here we are at a park before the party...

And here she is at the party...she was very serious taking in all the activity.

The party had a princess theme...Melissa's Mom put the tiara on Ellie's head...here is the little princess giving Melissa's mom a smile!Though Ellie was the youngest baby there she was not the smallest! Our little girl is growing SO fast! She has her 4 month appt at the end of this month. We can't wait to see how much she weighs and how long she has gotten! We are out of 3 month sleepers and into the 6 months ones now and are about to be out of size one diapers. We are on our last case of them!

Ellie is no longer that sleepy newborn that just napped, ate and pooped. She now wants to be entertained! So last weekend we bought her a jumparoo. Even though they are for 4 month olds, Ellie LOVES to stand (with us helping, of course) and Mommy and Daddy's arms get a little tired! So we just got her the jumparoo and but a book under her feet! Here she is playing...she loves it!

"MMMmmmm is that a banana??"Concentrating VERY hard!

Future lawyer through osmosis???
The weather here has finally been better...so Ellie has been trying to get some vitamin D! Daddy, Mommy, Ellie and Ainsley went for a walk on Thursday...here she is in the Bjorn with Daddy!
And then Mommy and Ellie headed outside Friday for some more sun!
Hope all is well with all of you! Thanks for checking in!
