36 weeks and counting...

So today I had my 36 week doctor appt. The usual pee in a cup (seriously- how do they expect us women to do this when we cannot see down there anymore!), take my weight and blood pressure. But today I also got a flu shot, tested for Group B strep, and I got an ultrasound! So it was an exciting appt!

Baby girl is doing great! She is still head down, has plenty of fluid around her, and was moving around crazy like- like usual. My doctor commented on how chubby her cheeks are! I think she will look like a Buddha baby like her daddy did!

My doctor said at this point, she is good and "baked" so if she decided to come anytime from now on- they would not be stopping my labor. This made things seam more real! I do hope she stays in for another couple of weeks though!

Everything else is going well. I took last week off from walking for the most part, but today Justin, Ainsley and I went for a two mile walk when I got home from work. Hopefully I can keep up some amount of walking for the next couple weeks. My hips are wiggly and a little sore so we shall see!

Today I went to visit a former student of mine. He is 5 years old and he has not seen me since before I was showing. He gave me this huge hug and said with a big grin "Katie, your belly got so fat!" It was the cutest thing. I love children's honesty. He is quite the artist so I asked him to draw a "girly" picture for the baby. He said "How about a train?" I said that was great, but can he make it pink? So he did! I hope to hang in the nursery. What little girl would not love a pink train?

We are looking at coming down to California in December - I am hoping we can visit with you. :)

Katie and Justin - Congratulations to you both! You don't know me but I am an old friend of the Yeh family (went to school with Melissa). Parenthood is amazing, enjoy the ride!
