Our trip to Albion

So a couple weeks ago we headed up to Albion (near Fort Bragg). My mom and all her crazy friends were having one of their insane reunions. We just HAD to go see all Ellie's great aunties and uncles!

I (Katie) drove up there with just Ellie on Sat morning. It took us about 4 hours with stops. It was a beautiful drive and honestly, I could NOT have asked for a better behaved baby! She slept most of the drive. Justin joined us the next day as he was at a bachelor party up in Tahoe. :)

We had a GREAT time!! We stayed in this funny little place with great views and AWESOME warm muffins every morning. We rode the Skunk Train, went to Fort Bragg, walked on Glass Beach, and visited a light house. Best of all we got to visit every night with all the S.L.U.T's.

We got up there Saturday afternoon. We headed over to Uncle Beer's boat. Ellie's first time on a boat! (Well...it never left the dock...ha ha ha). She loved all the cool stuff on the boat and Uncle Beer said she could have the boat...ha ha ha.

With uncle Beer

Uncle Beer was hitting the horn and Ellie wanted to do it too!
She's a natural!

She LOVED his fishing license!! He he heAnd of course...

Hanging out!!

She LOVES doggies!!
UM so I have a bunch of pics of this but they are basically x-rated..ha ha ha so here is one!
Then Uncle Beer's surprise party!

Sunday we rode the Skunk Train! Ellie's First train ride! It was long but relaxing and beautiful. Ellie did great!!

While waiting for Daddy to get there Sunday afternoon we hung out on the grass in front of our room..

Then we headed to Fort Bragg and then Glass Beach on Monday.

So I was told we had to eat at this place in Fort Bragg..so we went for lunch...
It is this adorable TINY place that has a Wizard of Oz theme. To get to the bathroom....you have to "follow the yellow brick road"!! Seriously! It was YUMMY food too!

After lunch we walked around town and Ellie got to go...

WINE TASTING for the first time!! Ha ha ha. OK so she didn't REALLY drink any wine. But we did and it was yummy! We brought a couple bottles home.

Glass Beach...Isn't the CA coast BEAUTIFUL???

Walking with Daddy
Uncle Beer telling her the Toe Story I apparently was also told as a child :)

Sitting with Aunt Suzie
Sitting by the campfire (her first!)...he he he look at those cheeks!!

Ahhh yes.....the lighthouse. We totally walked the LONG way and of COURSE Ellie didn't want to ride in the stroller...but it was pretty.
Ha ha...kinda missed Ellie in this pic...oh well!
Cool pic I took of some doorsWell that was our trip to Albion! Hope you enjoyed the pics!! :) We already miss our aunties and uncles...why do you have to all live so far away???

Love Ellie, Justin and Katie

Been a while!!

WOW It has been too long since I updated!! Well let me see...first of all we are all moved into our new home...its been about a month now! However moved in does not mean unpacked! HA! We have REALLY been taking our time unpacking this time around. We plan on staying in this house for a LONG time so we are just taking things one day at a time. Plus...have you tried unpacking with a 7-8 month old?? Not easy! ;)

HHHmmmm so what else is new? We recently went on TWO trips! One to Albion (near Fort Bragg) and one to Chico/Redding. I plan on writing posts on each trip as they were both awesome!! When we returned from Albion, two weekd ago, we put Ellie down on the ground in our room so we could unpack and she...

STARTED CRAWLING!!! The little bugger started crawling at 7 1/2 months old. Now she is EVERYWHERE!! And this week she started pulling herself up on everything and she wants you to walk with her! She has no balance so walking required a LOT of help but she likes it! No cruising just yet but we expect it soon.

Here she is on her toy we just got her so she can practice "walking". It turns into a little car too..

A couple weeks ago we also took her to the doctor to have her head checked out. Despite being a baby that is not carried in her carseat often and is "worn" as much as possible, she still has a little flat spot on her head (common now a days since they recommend back sleeping). To be sure the flat sopt was not being caused by the fissures in her skull closing too soon, she had to get her very first x-rays!! :( We actually had an awesome tech and got both pictures done first try! And the great news is....her head is "normal". They hope her head may round back out with time.

OH and she weighed 20 1/2 lbs!!!!! The doctor said I must make "creme brule milk" he he he...

Here are a couple pictures from the last couple months since I have been WAY behind!!

Just haveing some food...

Fourth of July!!

OH and I don't think I have mentioned yet that 8 weeks ago Justin's sister had an adorable baby boy they named Charles John (CJ). Ellie's little cousin! Here are a couple pictures...
